Solid Propellent Gas Injection Thrust Vector Control System.

Abstract

The patent application relates to a servo nozzle control for a thrust vector control system using a solid propellant-formed, warm gas injection system. This incorporates a plurality of injector valves mounted in a ring configuration around the circumference of a movably mounted, rocket-exhaust nozzle. The nozzle is operable to provide both for control of the thrust generated by varying the thrust nozzle-throat area and the necessary side force to deflect the nozzle and provide the requisite thrust vector control in pitch and yaw.
