An Improved Ultrasonic Focused Transducer.

Abstract

An improved ultrasonic focused transducer having a lens with an aspherical focusing surface which surface shape is a function of the acoustic velocities in an acoustic couplant and in a solid being inspected, of the incident angle of the ultrasonic wave, and of the geometry of the solid being inspected.
