Parachute Deployment and Container System.

Abstract

A parachute deployment and container system for an expendable jammer is described. A folded parachute is enclosed in a frangible glass container affixed to one end of an air dropped electronic jammer vehicle. During deployment, a detonator fires and imparts a concentrated force on the side of the container causing it to disintegrate into granular form and fully expose the parachute for rapid deployment.
