Anisotropic Sheet Metal.

Abstract

An improvement for a linear vibration motor reduces internal eddy current losses and the consequent problems associated with overheating. The coaxially disposed stator and reciprocator poles each are mounted on a stator shell and a reciprocator shell respectively. Both the shells are fashioned from magnetic metal laminates, each layer of which is provided with a multitude of slots aligned in the direction of the magnetic flux paths. (Author)
