Roll Attitude Feedback Selector for Use with Aircraft Control Augmentation Systems.

Abstract

A roll attitude feedback selector for aircraft utilizing the onboard digital flight control computer where the roll attitude is proportional to small pilot control wheel deflections with a roll rate proportional to large wheel deflections. The system selector operates in three modes: where the wings are within five degrees of level flight, where the bank angle is greater than five degrees, and where the bank angle exceeds five degrees and the control wheel is returned to its detent and the bank angle maintained.
