Signal Dynamic Range Enhancement System.

Abstract

This document describes a signal dynamic range enhancement system having a plurality of amplifiers and a plurality of analog-to-digital converters operatively connected to a source producing a single analog signal. In its most complex design this system provides an increased dynamic range with no degradation of the signal-to-noise ratio at any measured point. In its simplest application, this system acts as a form of gain-switching, but without the normally associated problems.
