Tunable Bandpass Ring Filter.

Abstract

A tunable image line band pass directional filter is realized by coupling two dielectronic waveguide segments with a mechanically movable resonant dielectric ring. The dielectric waveguide segments are mounted on a metallic base plate. The dielectric ring is retained in spaced proximity to the base plate. Tuning is accomplished by varying the air space between the dielectric ring and the metallic base plate. (Author)
