Elastomeric Material Derived from Fluorocarbon Based Polymer and Polysiloxanes.

Abstract

An elastomeric material is described in which a vinylidene fluoride-hexafluoropropene elastomeric copolymer is convulcanized with a silicon rubber gum by means of a wetting-covulcanizing agent which is triallyl cyanurate, diallyl cyanurate, triallyl isocyanurate, diallyl isocyanurate, triethylene melamine, hexahydro-1,3,5-triacryloyl-s-triazine, hexaallyl melamine, triallyl thiocyanurate, diallyl thiocyanurate, or mixtures thereof. The composition may be used to make seals in hydraulic activator systems in aircraft.
