Digital Sidelobe Weighting Technique.

Abstract

This document discloses apparatus and a method for weighting a digital Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) circuit to reduce the sidelobe response. The weighting is done by simple shifts of the decimal point of the input digital words to the FFT. By using a decimal-point shift-weighting system, many expensive multiplier circuits can be eliminated. (Author)
