Microwave Frequency Discriminator.

Abstract

The input signal is split by a magic tee and is reflected back into the magic tee by two shorts. One of the shorts has a length of line which is adjustable to a particular frequency. Two outputs from the magic tee are sent to two detectors and then to a differential amplifier to establish the difference between the outputs of the two detectors which becomes proportional to the difference in the frequency of the input signal and the frequency of the tuned microwave length of line.
