Motor Drive.

Abstract

A gyro motor drive arrangement utilizes two series connected reference coils located 180 degrees apart. The reference coils are within the gyro and at a fixed rotational angle relative to one of the two phase gyro drive coils. The permanent magnet rotor axis is captured by a pivot at one end only. This allows the stator to be precessed or tilted by other means while rotating under control of the motor drive. (Author)
