Fluidic Wetted Slip Range.
Abstract
This document describes a slip ring assembly including a housing containing a fluidic conductive source such as mercury. A rotating shaft extends through the housing and is provided with electrical conductors thereon which are immersed in the mercury during shaft rotation. A pair of conductive plates is carried in the mercury and electrical leads extend from the conductive plates and out of the housing. (Author)
