Fill Machine.
Abstract
A filling machine for filling an enclosed receptacle with a volatile fluid, and providing increased safety for operating personnel and receptacle storage is presented. An elongated filler tube is insertable into a first aperture in the top of the receptacle. The lower end of the filler tube is provided with second apertures configured for discharge through the apertures and influx into the receptacle of fluid under pressure in a churning manner for generating vapors of the fluid within the unfilled cavity portion of the receptacle. A suction sleeve is disposed above the top of the receptacle about the filler tube and the first aperture for drawing into the suction sleeve air and vapors present above the receptacle top and within the unfilled cavity portion. In this manner, harmful vapors are prevented from reaching operating personnel and oxygen is removed from the cavity portion so that the cavity portion is filled with vapors of the fluid which are substantially purged of oxygen.
