Abstract

This invention relates to a method for synthesizing symmetrical diphosphatetraazacyclooctatetraenes and the products produced thereby. The synthesis involves effecting a reaction between an diaryltrihalophosphorane and a perfluoroalkyl amidine in the presence of an acid acceptor.
