Polymer Modified TNT Containing Explosives.
Abstract
The present invention relates to an improved explosive TNT based composition consisting of TNT, HDX, RDX, aluminum and a small amount of an elastomeric linear polymer having polar groups dissolved or dispersed throughout said composition having improved properties. Such improved properties include: prevents cracking and exudation, improved friction sensitivity, sympathetic detonation and enhanced cook-off hazard properties. (Author)
