An Improved Performance Rotating Heat Pipe.

Abstract

An improved performance rotating heat pipe having an internally finned condenser section. The condenser section has a plurality of fins extending the length of the interior in a spiral counter to the pipe rotation. The fins therefore act as a condensate pump, or impellers, to force the condensate back to the evaporator, as well as to increase the surface area for condensation. External radial fins may be incorporated with the condenser section to assist in cooling the condenser section.
