Magnetic Sensing of Projectile Position.

Abstract

The magnetic position sensing system senses position and angular attitude of an object without physically touching the object. Changes in a magnetic field between the sensors and the object moves. This field varies as the object moves in any plane with respect to the sensor and allows detection of these changes to occur.
