Device for Cutting Kinetic Energy Projectile.

Abstract

The invention is a projectile cutting device having a body member which is able to be secured to a gun muzzle. The device is equipped with a number of radially offset cutting blades which can be moved, simultaneously, toward or away from the central axis of the body of the cutting device. When used, the device allows the projectile to fragment producing a spray pattern of dispersion, increasing the effectiveness of close range gunfire. (Author)
