Method of Determining Insect Infestation.

Abstract

This invention relates to a method of determining the degree of insect infestation in foodstuffs by determining the uric acid content of a sample by measuring the intensity of its fluorescence in an acetate buffer and comparing uric acid content with known values of uric acid produced by various numbers of insects.
