A Tangential Drag Enhancing Yarn.
Abstract
The present invention relates to means for reducing resonance oscillation in long tension members, and more particularly to a tangential drag enhancing yarn to increase the vertical mass of the oscillatory spring mass system. Accordingly, the present invention produces a tangential drag enhancing yarn for use in lines and cables to increase the vertical mass of the spring mass system. A plurality of yarn loops are attached to the outer cover of the line or cable.
