Composition for Removing Metal Oxides from Surfaces.

Abstract

A liquid composition for removing deposits containing metal oxide from surfaces comprises a water-soluble polymer selected from the class consisting of unsubstituted and substituted polyvinylpyrolidone and copolymers of vinylpyrolidone and dimethylamine-ethylalkacrylate and mixtures thereof; a solvent selected from the class consisting of water and aqueous solutions of mono-and polyhydric alcohol; a chelating agent from 0 to about 40 weight percent; a surfactant from 0 to about 10 weight percent; and a pH-adjusting agent if needed.
