Integral/Low Voltage Control for Miniature Impact Tool.

Abstract

A miniature impact tool that has an electrical switch mounted on the tool for ease of operation. The switch is connected to a bench mounted speed control unit that has a built-in relay and transformer for safety. The line that is operated by the switch is on the low voltage side of the transformer to reduce any chance of electrical shock. The speed control unit is electrically connected to a drive motor. The drive motor has a flexible drive shaft connected to the tool for mechanically driving the tool. (Author)
