Ramjet Inlet Duct Turbine for Electrical Power Generation

Abstract

An improved ramjet engine is provided which comprises an air driven rotary turbine disposed within the air duct between the inlet and the combustion region of the engine in a region of said duct characterized by subsonic airflow, and a generator, operatively interconnected with and driven by said turbine, for generating electrical power for use aboard a vehicle carried by the engine.
