Programmable Digital Temperature Controller Apparatus.

Abstract

Document describes a programmable digital temperature controller apparatus utilizing a pair of binary-coded decimal units and a switching unit to generate a ten bit binary word which represents a pre-selected temperature in a temperature range. A pair of erasable programmable read only memory units store digital temperatures and temperature range information. The ten bit binary word determines which digital data from the memory units will be applied to a D/A converter unit while the other multiplexer unit generates a starting voltage. The output voltage from the D/A converter unit and the starting voltage are summed together to provide a voltage output signal which represent the pre-selected temperature. (Author)
