E-Plane Hybrid Divider.

Abstract

A millimeter wave planar waveguide circuit is disclosed for serving as a divider or combiner. The microwave printed circuit utilizes slot line transmission sections which are converged at a section of coplanar waveguide, all formed on a dielectric substrate. The two, parallel energy propagation channels of the coplanar section are merged together at one end and are connected to one of the slot line transmission sections. A chip resistor is connected to the center conductor of the coplanar transmission section at the other end and is connected across the slot line convergence of the remaining two slot line sections. Signals entering the first slot line section are divided equally between the other two slot line sections. (Author)
