Measurement Techniques of Electrical Parameters of Surface Materials in the X-Band Region.

Abstract

The relationships between wave propagation parameters and the electrical parameters of surface materials such as sand or soil are established. Quantities that are related to measurable wave propagation parameters are defined and measurement techniques described. A system to measure and provide measurement of reflectivity attenuation, absorption, wavelength and phase velocity is provided. (Author)
