Signal Processor for Remote Optical Interferometric Sensors.

Abstract

This document describes a signal processor for remote optical interferometric sensors which provides detection of signals by means of optical fibers from the sensors without the need for feedback stabilization of below signal band low frequency fluctuations and drift. Amplitude as well as phase stability is maintained. Although feedback techniques are not necessary, use of feedback for the signal band provides linearity of output and suppression of noise thus permitting stable operation of multiple sensor channels using only a single laser source.
