Water Toxicity Field Test System.

Abstract

A method and an apparatus are described for testing water toxicity. Mamalian primate cells are treated with the water sample being tested and the effect is observed. A monolayer of the cells are kept alive with nutrients until needed for the test. The test water is injected into the sealed unit by means of a syringe inserted through a sterile rubber septum. A magnifier is used for observing the effect of the test water on the cells.
