Method of Heating Quartz Resonators.

Abstract

A quartz crystal resonator is heated by mounting and plating the resonator within an enclosure wherein the inner wall of the enclosure bears a reflective coating. Heating elements are positioned within the enclosure so as to be spaced from the resonator. The enclosure is then evacuated and sealed and a current caused to flow in the heating elements. (Author)
