Uniform High-Field Permanent-Magnet Structures.

Abstract

A hollow spherical flux source produces a uniform high field in its central cavity. The sphere is comprised of a selected magnetic material whose magnetization is azimuthally symmetrical. The magnetic orientation (alpha) in the spherical permanent magnet shell is given by the equation: alpha = Z Theta where Theta is the polar angle.
