Abstract

This patent application is related to the co-pending United States patent application entitled ' A Room-Temperature, Flashpumped, 2 Micron Solid State Laser With High Slope Efficiency', Serial No. (Navy Case No. 72, 360), filed December 22, 1989, both of which applications being commonly assigned to the Government of the United States. The present invention relates to lasers and particularly to a flashpumped solid state laser which operates at a wavelength of 1.96 microns at or near room temperature. Keywords: Patent applications.
