Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Imaging with Short Gradient Pulses.

Abstract

The present invention is directed to a method and apparatus for nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) imaging and more particularly to the method and apparatus for intercalating a sequence of magnetic field gradient pulses into a line-narrowing sequence in such a manner as to improve the performance of the imaging procedure. These methods and apparatus are illustrated in hte context of imaging solids, but may contribute to NMR imaging in general.
