Diamond and Diamond-Coated Filaments.

Abstract

The present invention relates to the production and use of filaments and use of diamond coated or diamond filaments, such as fibers, tubes and whiskers. Accordingly, it is an object of this invention to make diamond and diamond-coated filaments. It is another object of the present invention to make diamond and diamond-coated filaments with useful thermal, electrical and mechanical properties. It is a further object of the present invention to make diamond and diamond-coated filaments by a process which permits great variation of the ratio of core to diamond diameter. It is yet another object of the present invention to make diamond tubules. Patent applications.
