The National Ocean Sciences Bowl 1998-2001

Abstract

The National Ocean Sciences Bowl is an academic competition that promotes the study of ocean sciences in high schools and provides a forum for students to excel in math and science. The format is a timed competition in which student teams answer questions within several broad categories related to the oceans. Since 1998, the NOSB(registered) has involved approximately 5,870 students and teachers in 20 sites around the United States.
