Reinforced Concrete Members Optimizing Relationships,
Abstract
Beams, columns, and beam-columns of reinforced concrete are analyzed to determine the optimum designs that result in the least total cost of materials. The analysis and results are generalized to be adaptable to both elastic and ultimate desing methods, including any shape of stress block in the concrete.
