Interactive Optimum Design System,

Abstract

This work is concerned with the development of an interactive system for the definition, analysis and optimization of two-dimensional elastic structures. At any time during the optimization process, the user can, with the help of this personal experience, either continue help of his personnel experience, either continue iterations, if the shape evolution of the structure seems to be interesting, or interact, if he considers that the search direction of the algorithm will not yield to a correct solution.
