A Personal View of Timber Engineering Research Priorities,

Abstract

Research priorities in the Timber Engineering field are discussed as they relate to the present design specifications. It is stressed that engineering solutions are being sought. The priorities are developed using the criteria; magnitude of indicated change, safety considerations and how widely the indicated changes will be employed in design of timber structures. (Author)
