Evaluation of a High Performance Fixed-Ratio, Traction Drive,

Abstract

Parametric back-to-back stand tests and gas-turbine engine dynamometer tests were conducted on two fixed-ratio Nasvytis multiroller traction drives. The effects of speed and torque on drive efficiency, creep rates, temperature distribution, roller stability, and loading mechanism action were investigated.
