Evaluation of High-Contact-Ratio Spur Gears with Profile Modification,

Abstract

The work reported herein was conducted to evaluate the NTF(New to 5th Form) gears in relation to the standard gears by conducting three series of tests on both gear types. These tests were scoring tests, surface fatigue tests, and bending fatigue tests. The tests were performed by the Southwest Research Institute.
