Abstract

This report contains the results of a comparison of two basic Russian language teaching methodologies -- the RS-15A program as presented at the National Cryptologic School (NCS), which is a contextual method with multiple teaching strategies, and the Basic Russian Language Course, a multiple-strategy approach with audio-lingual overtones, as presented by the Defense Language Institute, Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC), Monterey, California.
