An Implicit Scheme for Water Wave Problems,

Abstract

This paper presents an implicit scheme for numerically simulating fluid flow in the presence of a free surface. The scheme couples numerical generation of a boundary-fitted coordinate system with an efficient alternating-Direction-Implicit solution of the finite difference equations. Solutions using the scheme presented here indicate that the scheme can be applied successful to free surface fluid flow problems. (Author)
