On Growth Processes of Condensation Aerosols,

Abstract

Aerosol particles formed by condensation of a vapor grow by the processes of coagulation and condensation/evaporation. Some properties of the evolution equations describing each of these processes are discussed. The complexity of the rate coefficients for these processes precludes general analytical solutions and necessitates numerical approximation. Some approaches to numerical analysis of the coagulation and condensation/evaporation processes are outlined briefly. (Author)
