Theories for Control of Neurotransmitter Release and for Two Problems in Physical Chemistry,

Abstract

Three problems are surveyed: The control by calcium entry of neurotransmitter release; The spatially inhomogeneous polymerization reaction when a layer of initiator is placed next to a reservoir of monomer; and A spinodal decomposition type of phase change modelled by the nonlinear fourth order Cahn-Hilliard equation.
