Millimeter-Wave Antenna Development,

Abstract

Antenna technology for millimeter-wave system applications has had a long history of development on a component level, and as systems evolve from planning to implementation, a significant amount of development effort remains to realize practical designs. The antenna itself offers a key rationale for millimeter-wave systems, which stems from the ability to achieve high angular resolution from physically small dimensions. A review of technology demonstrations is provided, and identification of future development areas will be made. (Author)
