Abstract

The advent of the Advance Fighter Technology Integration (AFTI) F-16 has prompted a renewed interest in the physical and physiological stresses which occur in lateral acceleration. The Aerospace Medical Research Laboratories' Acceleration Effects Branch has recently completed this experimental protocol which examined the cardiopulmonary effects of Gy forces. (Author)
