Abstract

Report Objectives: To simplify free edge stress analysis by using superposition principles; To develop a 2-D analysis for calculation of free edge stresses in composite laminates, and To evaluate the accuracy of the 2-D analysis for mechanical, thermal and hygroscopic loads.
