Military and Civilian Test Score Trends (1950 - 1980),

Abstract

This paper describes test score changes between the early 1950s and 1980 (when the profile study was conducted). The paper begins with a tabular and graphic picture of national scholastic aptitude and achievement test score trends. The paper then describes military accession test score trends on AFQT from 1967 to 1980. AFQT score trends are reported by high, median, and low scores. The paper concludes with a brief summary and interpretation of the trends. (Author)
