A Simplified Viscoplastic Theory for Frictional Materials,

Abstract

A viscoplasticity theory is described in terms of the mean pressure and a new third invariant which involves a shifted stress tensor. The flow rule is nonassociated with respect to the pressure. Illustrative results for limit states and stress paths are given for a variety of frictional materials. (Author)
