Toxicologic Update of Dimethyl Sulfoxide,

Abstract

The search for novel medical applications of dimethyl sulfoxide (DMOS) has been both wide and continuous, as evidenced by the scope of reports in this volume. Many applications appear to hold great promise, but one must be cognizant of the possibility of untoward effects. The purpose of this paper is to review and update the knowledge of the toxicity of DMSO.
