Effect of Dimethyl Sulfoxide on Precipitability of Bence Jones Proteins and Their Conversion to Amyloid Fibrils,

Abstract

Observations indicate that DMSO can alter precipitability properties of Bence Jones proteins and their conversion to amyloid fibrils. It may be potentially useful in treatment of immunoglobulin-related amyloidosis and of Bence Jones protein-induced nephropathy.
